Size Guide
Welcome to Our Size Guide!
We’ve created this page to help you find the perfect collar size for your pet. Since all our collars are made-to-order and sales are final, it’s important not to guess your pet’s measurements.
For your pet’s safety, never force a slip-on collar that feels too snug. Be sure to measure your pet using a soft tape measure, following the instructions below carefully.
How to Measure Your Pet for the Perfect Collar:
1. Measure the widest part of your pet’s head
Use a soft, flexible measuring tape to measure snugly around the widest part of your pet’s head.
2. Locate the widest part of the head
This is typically just in front of their ears, at the mid-point of their head. Ensure the tape is snug but not so tight that it compresses the fur. Avoid adding extra space or inserting fingers between the tape and your pet’s fur.
3. Choose the larger measurement if needed
If your pet’s neck is wider than their head, use the neck measurement to ensure a comfortable fit. Measure where you expect the collar to rest, typically in the middle of the neck (not at the base).
PRO TIP: Mimic sliding the tape measure over your pet’s head as if it were the collar to confirm it will fit properly.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
• If using a body measuring tape (with push-button retraction and a housing handle), ensure you use it correctly. The tape must wrap around your pet’s head or neck and insert back into its housing for a hands-free measurement. These tapes often begin at 2 inches to account for the housing—do not use it like a traditional soft measuring tape.
• Do not use a hard measuring tape for this process.
Final Reminder:
Select the head measurement exactly as measured. We’ll account for the size of beads and attachments when crafting your custom collar.
